2026-2027 Shoe and Dancewear Requirements (Recreational Classes)
Dancewear & Dance Shoes can be purchased at:

Please write your child’s name inside all shoes and dancewear
Pre- Ballet:
*Pink basic full sole Ballet Slippers by Bloch
*Leotard and Tights (skirts or tutus optional) any color
*Hair must be worn in a ponytail or bun, away from the face
Ballet & Tap Combo Classes:
*Pink basic full sole Ballet Slippers by Bloch
*Black Patent Leather Tap Shoes with Ribbon Tie. Capezio, SoDancer or Bloch brands recommended
*Leotard and Tights (skirts/tutus optional) any color
*Hair must be worn in a ponytail or bun, away from the face
Ballet, Tap & Jazz Combo Classes:
*Pink Split Sole Ballet Slippers by Bloch (style# 208)
*Tan Bloch Mary Jane Tap Shoes
*Tan Jazz Neoflex Booties by Bloch Style# S0495 recommended
*Leotard and Tights (skirts/tutus/dance shorts optional) any color
*Hair must be worn in a bun, away from the face
*Students should always have kneepads in class
Tap & Jazz Combo Classes:

*Tan Split Sole Lace-Up Tap Shoe Bloch (style #S0388L)
*Leotard and tights, dance shorts or pants will be allowed over tights (any color)
*Hair should be away from the face and worn in a bun or ponytail
*Students should always have kneepads in class
Lyrical & Contemporary Classes:
*Capezio Pirouette Style#H061 Nude Canvas
*Leotard (any color) and Stirrup Tights by Bodywrappers in Suntan (dance shorts/pants optional)
*Hair must be worn in a bun away from the face
*Students should always have kneepads in class
Hip Hop Classes:
*Dancers can wear any sneaker (Please do not wear outside sneakers as they bring dirt and germs into the classroom)
Specific sneakers will be assigned to each class later in the year based on costume.
If purchasing new sneakers before this, we suggest white Low Top Nike Air Force 1's as we choose them frequently
*Flexible dance pants or sweat pants and a fitted tank top or leotard.
(boys can wear T-shirts)
*Hair must be worn in a ponytail away from the face
*Students should always have kneepads in class
Acro & Modern Classes:
*Students will take class barefoot
*Leotard or biketard, dance shorts/pants will be allowed over leotard
*Hair should be away from the face and worn in a low bun
RDS COMPANY Shoe and Dancewear Requirements
*All company students are required to purchase Kneepads
*Hair should always be away from the face and worn in a BUN
*Students must be in the correct attire in order to participate
SHOES:
Lyrical/Contemporary & Technique – Capezio Pirouette Style#H061 in Nude Canvas
Jazz – Shoes will be determined once costumes are chosen.
Contemporary or existing jazz shoes can be worn until then.
Hip- Hop - Regular sneakers. (Specific sneakers will be assigned later in the year based on costume)
Ballet - Pink Split Sole Ballet Slippers by Bloch (style# 208)
Tap - Bloch split sole lace up taps (style #S0388L) (any color is acceptable until costumes are chosen.
If dancers need new shoes now, Tan are suggested as they are easier to spray if black is later needed.)

Contemporary & Technique - Black Leotard or Sports Bra & Dance Shorts/pants.
Bodywrappers Suntan stirrup tights
Jazz & Hip-Hop - Black Leotard or Sports Bra & Dance Shorts/pants. Suntan colored tights by
Bodywrappers (convertible or stirrup) Sweat Pants can be worn for Hip-Hop
Ballet - Black leotard and Pink footed tights, Black or pink skirt REQUIRED
Tap - Black leotard and Pink or Tan footed tights, Shorts/pants optional
Acro - Students will take class barefoot
Leotard or Sports Bra & Dance Shorts/pants
Modern - Students will take class barefoot
Black Leotard or Sports Bra & Dance Shorts/pants.

Equipment Needed for Technique Classes
(1) Multi loop Stretch Band (1) Theraband (2) Yoga Blocks
(1) 45-55cm Stability Ball (Size Depends on height)
(2) 25cm pilates balls
(1) Assorted pack of Loop Resistance Bands
(2) 1 lb ankle weights
BOYS SHOES:
Ballet - Black Canvas split sole Ballet slippers (Bloch #208 recommended
Lyrical/Contemporary & Technique - Danshuz Half Sole in Nude
Jazz - Shoes will be determined once costumes are chosen. Contemporary or existing jazz shoes can be worn until then.
Tap - Black Bloch split sole lace up taps (style #S0388L)
Hip-Hop - Regular sneakers for Hip-Hop until further notice
BOYS ATTIRE:
Black tight fitting shirt, Black shorts.
Sweat Pants will ONLY be allowed for Hip Hop.
